canary islands weather 14 may 2026

Thursday: clouds and isolated light rain across the Islands

A blanket of cloud is lingering over the Canary Islands today, with the chance of a few light showers here and there, especially across the northern slopes and mountainous interiors. The wind is set to strengthen through the afternoon, shifting to a northerly direction and bringing strong gusts to exposed areas and higher peaks.

Temperatures are holding steady, with no major changes expected. The Atlantic will be rough along northern coasts and in the channels between islands, with waves under two metres, while southern shores remain relatively calm.
