It’s another summer-like day across the Canary Islands, though temperatures are staying well clear of anything oppressive. Friday brings a fairly stable picture, with low clouds clinging to the northern coasts in the morning before burning off.
General conditions
The wind is light to moderate, blowing from the north in the western islands and from the northeast in the eastern ones. The Atlantic sees a rough ocean on northern shores with waves around one metre high, while southern coasts remain only slightly choppy.
Humidity is expected to rise over the weekend, but for now, skies are mostly clear or scattered with clouds. In the south, daytime highs will again reach around 30°C.

Tenerife
Low clouds in the north may produce a few light drizzly spots in the mid-altitudes during the morning. Over the south, expect local afternoon clouds to build up. Temperatures remain similar to recent days.
Gran Canaria
Sunny on the summits and across the southern side of the island. The north sees some cloud cover early on, which gradually retreats. In the capital, temperatures sit between 21°C and 25°C.
Lanzarote
Low clouds in the north and west clear away quickly in the morning. The rest of the day is mostly sunny with light winds. Highs range from 20°C to 27°C.
Fuerteventura
Low clouds in the north during the morning and some high cloud cover that disappears after midday. Temperatures will fluctuate between 20°C and 27°C.
La Palma
Light winds allow clouds to build up, with a chance of a few droplets falling in the mid-altitudes. High clouds roll in later in the afternoon. Temperatures are steady.
La Gomera
A mostly clear day with perhaps a few clouds in the north. The south stays bright and open, with high cloud cover appearing late in the day. Temperatures range from 21°C to 27°C.
El Hierro
Cloudy spells across much of the island, thickening up towards the evening. In Valverde, temperatures will sit between 15°C and 20°C.
La Graciosa
Low clouds at dawn, clearing up by midday. Light winds and calm sea conditions. Temperatures don’t change much from recent days.
