Binter boosts Canary Islands flights for August

Binter strengthens August schedule

Binter has reinforced its August schedule for inter-island flights in the Canary Islands, responding to shifts in demand typical of the summer season. The airline has made available a total of 1,700 inter-island flights from Monday to Sunday, representing 64 more journeys than in a standard June week.

This programme will allow the Canarian company to offer passengers more than 125,200 seats per week, with over 4,100 additional places. Throughout August, the airline will operate more than 7,500 flights solely between the Canary Islands, offering more than 559,000 seats—a 7% increase compared to the flight offering in 2025.

Extra aircraft and key routes

This reinforcement of connections has been made possible by the addition of an extra ATR aircraft to the inter-island programme. The increased capacity forms part of Binter’s commitment to providing air transport tailored to the mobility needs of residents and visitors, strengthening connectivity between the islands during one of the busiest periods of the year and redistributing its offering to match the needs of the population during these dates.

By route, notable increases stand out on connections between Fuerteventura and Tenerife North, which gain 44 additional flights per week—a growth of 47%—and between Lanzarote and Tenerife North, with 42 more flights, a 35% increase compared to the usual June schedule. Connectivity between Gran Canaria and El Hierro is also expanded, nearly doubling its weekly offering with 22 additional flights, as well as on routes between Gran Canaria and Tenerife South and La Palma, with 8 and 4 additional flights respectively, and between Tenerife North and El Hierro, with 8 new weekly services.

Summer routes restored

In addition, during this summer season, Binter reinstated the direct connection between Lanzarote and La Palma in July, which will operate 14 weekly flights, making travel between the two islands easier during the months of highest demand. The airline has also launched a direct connection between Fuerteventura and La Palma, offering six direct flights per week until early September.

Tickets can already be purchased through the company’s various sales channels: bintercanarias.com, the Binter app, the telephone number 922/928 32 77 00, travel agencies and airport offices, where conditions and prices for the different destinations can be consulted.
