Clearing skies and warmer days ahead
Tuesday marks a shift toward calmer weather on the Islands. Cloud cover will be thinner than in recent days, and temperatures are beginning a slow but steady climb. The trade winds continue to blow from the northeast, moderate in strength but with strong gusts in exposed spots, particularly across the southeast and northwest of some islands.
In the northern parts of the more mountainous islands, expect cloudy skies during the early hours and again at night. A few isolated drops of rain cannot be ruled out in the early morning, but overall it will be a dry day. Elsewhere across the western islands and Gran Canaria, skies will be mostly clear. Over in the eastern islands, variable cloud will give way to mostly clear conditions as the day progresses.
At sea, conditions remain mixed. Northern and western coasts of Fuerteventura and Lanzarote will see combined north-northeast swells with waves potentially exceeding 1.5 metres. Southern and southwestern coasts will be calmer, with waves between 0.5 and 1.0 metres.

Tenerife
Cloudy in the north during the morning, with a slight chance of an isolated spot of rain in the early hours. Conditions will improve toward midday, turning to variable cloud. Elsewhere, mostly clear skies. Moderate trade winds with strong gusts likely in the southeast and northwest. Temperatures in the capital will range from 17°C to 24°C.
Gran Canaria
Cloudy in the north and east early and late in the day, clearing to mostly sunny skies during the afternoon. Elsewhere, clear skies. Moderate trade winds, accelerating across the southeast-northwest axis where very strong gusts are possible. Temperatures in the capital will range from 18°C to 23°C.
Lanzarote
Mostly clear skies, though the north and west will see some cloud intervals. Moderate trade winds. Temperatures in Arrecife will range from 17°C to 24°C.
Fuerteventura
Mostly clear skies apart from some cloud intervals in the north. Moderate trade winds. Maximum temperatures will range between 21°C and 26°C.
La Palma
Cloudy in the north and eastern slopes early on, clearing to variable cloud from midday. Cloud will return in the evening. Elsewhere, mostly clear. Moderate trade winds. The maximum temperature in the capital will be around 22°C.
La Gomera
Cloud intervals in the north and interior, becoming thicker during the night. Clear elsewhere. Moderate trade winds, picking up speed in the capital. Maximum temperature in the capital around 24°C.
El Hierro
Cloud intervals in the north and northeast, with afternoon cloud in inland areas. Elsewhere, mostly clear or sunny. Moderate trade winds. Pleasant temperatures.
La Graciosa
Mostly clear skies. Moderate trade winds. Temperatures in Caleta de Sebo will range from 18°C to 23°C.
