Cloudy Sunday with a return to humid north winds
After a spell of clearer skies, this Sunday (26 April) sees a shift back to cloudier conditions across the Canary Islands. A humid north wind is moving in, bringing variable cloud cover and a chance of light, scattered showers, particularly on the northern slopes of the mountainous islands. Daytime temperatures will dip slightly in a few areas, but overnight lows remain stable.
A band of high cloud is also expected to drift across the archipelago from the southwest to the northeast, creating a hazy ceiling at times.
Wind and sea conditions
A moderate north wind will blow across the eastern islands, Tenerife, and La Gomera, while the westernmost islands can expect a moderate northeast breeze. At sea, the Atlantic will be rough on northern coasts and along the western shorelines of Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, with waves reaching just under two metres. Elsewhere, the ocean will be choppy but generally manageable.
