Friday is shaping up to be a dry and settled day across the Canary Islands, with fewer clouds than in recent days and a gentle return of the trade winds. High-altitude cloud cover will move in from the southwest during the late morning and early afternoon, but significant rainfall is not expected anywhere.
General overview
After a cloudier start to the week, conditions are improving. The day will begin with mostly clear skies over the eastern islands, though high clouds will spread across all islands from mid-morning until mid-afternoon. Winds will pick up later in the day, with moderate trade winds returning, especially in the eastern province. Maximum temperatures will rise slightly, particularly in inland areas of Gran Canaria, while minimums remain steady.
The Atlantic will be mostly calm, with rough ocean conditions in northern areas producing waves of less than 2 metres. Southern coasts will see waves below 1 metre.
