Stable and sunny, with calima clearing
Wednesday, 1 April, brings a stable day to the Canary Islands with abundant sunshine. The main feature is calima (Saharan dust), which will be most noticeable in the morning before retreating from east to west through the afternoon.
General outlook
Skies will be mostly clear, with some high cloud over the eastern islands and medium-level cloud in the west. Morning temperatures will be a little cooler than recently, while daytime highs remain pleasant. A moderate northeast wind will blow on coasts, shifting to an east-southeast direction in mid-altitude and summit areas. The ocean will be slightly choppy along southern coasts, with rough to very rough conditions elsewhere. An ocean swell from the northeast will bring waves of 1.5 to 2.5 metres to north-facing shores.
