Playa de Fañabé is one of the most popular beaches on Tenerife’s south coast. Where is Playa de Fañabé and how to get there?
The beach is in Costa Adeje, on Tenerife’s south-west coast, in the municipality of Adeje. It’s the central section of the tourist strip running from Playa del Duque to Las Américas.
By car: Parking at Centro Comercial Gran Sur or on side streets behind the promenade. Spaces fill up fast in high season — arrive before 10:00.
By bus: TITSA routes to Costa Adeje (including line 110 from the southern airport). Stops near the shopping centres, then a 5–10 minute walk.

Playa de Fañabé is 600 metres long and about 40 metres wide. The sand is golden, imported — like most beaches on Tenerife’s south coast. The water is calm, thanks to breakwaters that soften the swell. Lifeguards are on duty year-round. The beach holds a Blue Flag, confirming high water quality and good facilities.

Sea temperature on Tenerife’s south coast stays at 20–24 °C year-round. It’s warmest from August to October. The beach is sheltered from the northern wind — even when it’s blowing up north, it’s calm here.
Several shopping centres are within walking distance — Gran Sur, Safari Center, Torviscas Boulevard — with a wide choice of restaurants, shops and evening entertainment.
