Playa del Duque is the most luxurious beach on Tenerife. Light golden sand, calm water, and five-star hotels like Bahia del Duque and El Mirador lining the shore. This is a beach for those who value comfort — immaculately maintained, with full amenities, a Blue Flag award, and accessibility features for visitors with disabilities.
Where is Playa del Duque and how to get there?
The beach is located in Costa Adeje, on the south-western coast of Tenerife, in the municipality of Adeje. It sits along the exclusive tourist strip between Playa de Fanabe and La Caleta.
By car: Free parking behind the Caleta Coast restaurant — spaces go fast. Alternatives: underground car parks at Centro Comercial Plaza del Duque (first hour free) and The Corner Mall (around 2 EUR/hour).
By bus: TITSA buses run to Costa Adeje — the nearest stop is by the shopping centres, about 5-10 minutes on foot to the beach.
Beach overview
Playa del Duque stretches for approximately 660 metres. The sand is light and golden — noticeably lighter than most beaches on the south coast of Tenerife. The water is calm — the beach is sheltered, and waves are rarely an issue. Lifeguards are on duty throughout the season. The beach holds a Blue Flag award.

Accessibility is exemplary: ramps lead down to the sand and into the water, and bathing equipment is available for visitors with reduced mobility.
